JM Dixon Associates Ltd Design & Consulting Engineers offer drafting and pressure vessel design services for all applications and in accordance with all major design codes and directives. Over the years we have established a long and loyal client list ranging from small independent fabricators to large multinational companies; providing services for a wide variety of industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, offshore, nuclear, hygienic, food and beverage.

A pressure vessel is a container designed to hold liquids, gasses or vapours under pressure. TheĀ  internal/external pressure can be inherently dangerous so, strict protocols and regulations need to be followed by experienced engineers during design and fabrication.

Pressure vessels are predominantly for industrial use and are commonly used in petroleum refining and chemical processing industries. They can also be used for hot water storage tanks, diving cylinders and heat exchangers.

At JM Dixon we have a long history of designing various pressure vessels and our fully qualified engineers have the capabilities to design pressure vessel systems to your specific requirements.

We have built up an extensive knowledge of the major design codes including PD5500 design, ASME VIII Division 1 design and EN13445 pressure vessel design and have the ability to supplement these where necessary with individual company and industry specifications and requirements.

At JM Dixon Associates Ltd we have developed a comprehensive library of ‘in-house’ calculation programmes which are maintained through our ISO 9001 quality system and are familiar to all the main 3rd party insurance companies including British Engineering Services (BES), Zurich, Lloyds, DNV, ABS and many others. Our design programmes enable us to deal with a broad range of standard and non-standard pressure vessel designs, however we also run the latest version of PV Elite to assist us where necessary and also possess the capability to provide verification through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and the design by analysis approach should it be required.

We offer both 2D and 3D CAD drafting/modelling services using the latest versions of AutoCAD and Inventor for vessel fabrication drawings, modelling and vessel design.
